Born to Run Beautifully: Feet, Form and Flow (2.0 Credit Hours) 2022 dates coming soon
Evolution has made us for movement, giving us an innate capacity for both endurance and speed, and yet many runners run stiffly and restricted. In this session Dr. Mark Cucuzzella shows us how to tap the ‘beautiful runner’ within. The biomechanics of our running structures will be explained, along with the concept of tensegrity - that ability of our muscles to move together gracefully and with strength and vitality. When the structural components of form are combined with ample and unimpaired delivery of energy to the working muscles the athlete can enter a state of flow while running. Dr. Mark will show you exercises and practices (including choosing the right running shoes) to retain and enhance tensegrity, allowing you to run with greater ease and grace.
INSTRUCTOR:
Dr. Mark Cucuzzella
Medical Doctor, professor, competitor, innovator, humanitarian and author of “Run for Your Life.”
Hosted by Lorraine Moller and Coach Colin Lancaster
